How cold emails manifest in my dreams…

If you're trying to sell a B2B product, you've run into loads of cold email 'experts' with their fancy templates.

Well, I'm not one of those gurus, and to be honest, my own cold emails were pretty bad... until Tuesday!

Let me tell you all about it!!

💩😞A Bad Email

For about 3 weeks I was struggling writing a good cold email. I was focused on the following:

  • Personalization

  • Asking a question related to the Pain Point my product addresses

  • Explain my Product and how it helps

  • Call To Action

Makes sense, right? Nope! I had a 50% Open rate but 0 replies. In other words, my email Subject was good but the content sucked... (See an example)

 👋😃A Good Email

Thanks to a mentor (Fadi Malouf) I tried a different approach. Focused on starting a conversation instead of selling a product:

  • NO Selling! Just chatting a stranger on the road.

  • Don't mention the name of the product.

  • Ask them to help me test

  • Explain the benefits they get for helping me

  • Add some fun emojis to keep the conversation light

Got my first reply 10 hours into the campaign! Only took me three weeks ⏰, could have been worse though... right?🤔💭

Take a look at that golden email!

Here's the deal: You gotta find what works for your product. But, if you try too hard to sell, you might just push people away. So, instead, start a convo and let the magic happen.

Cheers,

Nuzair
