๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ“‡๐Ÿ˜ซNetworking Without Cards: Socializing Struggles!

You know, I've hit up a few networking events ๐Ÿฅ‚ and let me tell you, not having a business card (virtual or old-school style) can be awkward.... think dancing with no rhythm...

Let me explain, you meet so many cool people ๐Ÿ˜Ž and trying to connect with them all without sounding like that over-eager kid on the playground - "Wanna be friends? Wanna be friends?"... its kinda awkward.

So yeah, business cards definitely make life less cringe-worthy ๐Ÿ˜œ

Let me tell you how I ended up with these๐Ÿ‘‡ and why

๐Ÿ’ผ๐Ÿ“ฒโœจVirtual Business Card: Tech Founder's Choice

I'm a tech founder, so obviously I wanted a smart/virtual business card. My requirements were straightforward

  • Branded sticky tap card for the back of my phone ๐Ÿ“ฑโœจ๐Ÿ’ณ

  • QR code on a phone app leading to a profile page with contact info ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ”ณ๐Ÿ”—

I looked at a couple of options and settled on Popl, the free version obviously. I designed a tap card with huddl branding ๐ŸŽจ.

Sure, it cost me $48 (with 1-7 day shipping), but hey, you can't put a price on coolness ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Printed Cards, But Smarterโ“๐Ÿค”

Why have a printed business card when you've got a virtual one on your phone? ๐Ÿค” Because technology can be as reliable as a startup's revenue forecast ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ“ˆ.

Printed cards are a great backup, but rectangles are soโ€ฆ last decade. ๐Ÿ˜ด

I came across some square designs and thought, hey, what else is square? A QR code from Popl! ๐Ÿค“ A bit of template tweaking later, and boom! Huddl cards with a QR on the back to my Popl profile. ๐Ÿš€

Wrapping up ๐Ÿ‘‡

The printed cards cost me $45 for 200 pieces. Thatโ€™s a total of $93 with Popl, but the good news is that you can deduct* it when you file taxes, under โ€˜Advertising and Promotional expensesโ€™ category ๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต *This is not financial advice

Be your own brand! No pressure to get business cards, but if you do, make sure it screams 'YOU' ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘€๐ŸŒŸ
